Experience

THE SNEAKER SOCIETY, LOS ANGELES
Fall 2019 - Summer 2021

  • Founded and incorporated The Sneaker Society as a 501(c)3 non-profit that solicits and distributes sneakers to at-risk youth in underserved communities in Los Angeles. 

  • Constructed and designed non-profit website www.thesneakersociety.org

  • Achieved the goal of distributing over 1,000 sneakers.

  • Successfully approached sneaker corporations including Nike, Puma, Skechers, to solicit donations.

  • Partnered with non-profits for distribution including Children Mending Hearts and The Watts Empowerment Center. 

MoCA - THE MUSEUM OF CONTEMPORARY ART, LOS ANGELES
Summer/Fall 2020

  • Spearheaded media promotional campaign for a series of limited-production, artist-designed face masks to aid in combating covid-19 and raise funds for the museum. The masks were designed by nine artists, including Virgil Abloh, Barbara Kruger, Yoko Ono and The Andy Warhol Foundation for Visual Arts and were intended to make art accessible and encourage the urgency of contemporary expression. 

  • Researched appropriate media outlets for PR campaign.

  • Conducted marketing research for the deputy director of advancement, identifying corporate sponsors for a museum grant program assisting the California Cultural and Historical Endowment (CCHE) in supporting museum services that prioritize underserved communities and students. 

ICA LA - INSTITUTE OF CONTEMPORARY ART, LOS ANGELES
Summer 2019

  • Documented the process of ICA LA’s effort to become the first museum to operate on 100% solar energy and creating a portfolio of images for the museum’s future campaigns.

  • Spearheaded a kickstarter campaign in support of the museum’s efforts to acquire solar panels and becoming the first entirely solar powered art museum.

  • Conducted extensive research on solar panel options concerning logistics and pricing.

  • Communicated with potential corporate sponsors for the kickstarter campaign.

  • Provided technical support.

  • Participated in all team meetings regarding solar campaign.

  • Reported directly to museum deputy director and communicated daily with other museum staff.

Fall 2019

  • In charge of storyboarding photographs for assigned campaign.

  • Photographed on set pre-production and production.

  • Participated in team meetings during pre-production to post-production.

  • Provided cast and crew support.

  • Photographed all PSA portraits.

  • Edited photographs for print.

  • Worked directly under the supervision of the PSA director and producer.
